"Be the best you can be"
A warm welcome to the Stanmore Primary School website. We hope you will enjoy browsing our pages, meeting our children and staff, all of them determined to ‘be the best that they can be…’

Stanmore's school uniform is smart and practical and promotes a feeling of 'belonging' to Stanmore School.

The school colours are bottle  green, white and gold. Green sweatshirts or cardigans are worn with grey or black trousers, shorts or skirts with gold or white embroidered polo shirts. Girls may also wear gold or green checked dresses in the summer.

All children should wear sensible well fitting shoes or sandals. Medical advice is that the constant wearing of trainers, flimsy sandals or high heeled shoes is unsuitable for healthy feet. Girls should not wear open-toed sandals in the summer.

For P.E., our indoor uniform is black shorts with a white or gold T shirt. Bare feet are preferred; plimsolls should only be worn in the case of a foot infection or if requested for a particular activity.

For P.E. out of doors, you will need your black shorts, and white or gold T shirt and either plimsolls or trainers. Black jogging bottoms and Stanmore hoodies may be worn when the weather is colder. Football boots may also be needed in Key Stage 2. P.E. Kit should be kept in a named P.E. bag.

Other uniform items include a reversible bottle green fleece lined jacket, beanie and baseball style hats, all embroidered with the school logo.
All our uniform items can be purchased from our online supplier Direct4  or from Tesco. Tesco will now supply polo shirts and sweatshirts embroidered with the school logo. Just visit

Please make sure that all uniform items are clearly marked with your child's name. It really helps when sweatshirts or P.E. kits are mislaid!  No name - no idea who it belongs to!

If parents have difficulty in providing essential items of clothing or footwear for P.E., a limited amount of financial assistance may be available, depending on income. Further details are available from the Education Welfare Officer - 01962 869611
