Welcome
A warm welcome to the Stanmore Primary School website. We hope you will enjoy browsing our pages, meeting our children and staff, all of them determined to ‘be the best that they can be…’

Rock Challenge

Children from Years 3 – 6 who are taking part in Rock Challenge meet every Monday afternoon with Miss Norris in the school hall between 3:15pm and 4:15pm.

The club will start on Monday 31st October 2016 and will cost £40. This can be paid in two installments.

Some of the children will perform, some are helping with the staging and others will be backstage crew on the night.

Rock Challenge

We've been rehearsing really hard and are all really looking forward to performing at The Southampton Guildhall on Friday 17th February 2017.

If you can help at all either during the day or on the night, please speak to Miss Norris or Mrs Horkan.

A letter with more details about what to expect on the day is below.

GOOD LUCK Stanmore!

Well done to all our Rock Challenge pupils - you did Stanmore proud on the day!

Rock Challenge at the Guildhall

Our performers danced their socks off and were awarded the Rock Challenge Community Support Award for working collaboratively with Winchester Prison and Winchester College students to produce our amazing set, which helped provide lifelong skills to the students and prisoners involved in the project. We also won awards for Costume design
Video Performance (well done William Megoran on video) and Visual Enhancement. Great job everyone!

Next year we want to be even bigger and better and if you know anyone who could provide help with costumes and sponsorship, we'd love to hear from them.

HUGE thanks are due to the wonderful Miss Norris who ran the Rock Challenge after school club every Monday and did lots more besides in her own time. MASSIVE thanks also to Mrs Cascarini for transporting our scenery and to Miss Horkan, Miss Shuff and Miss Bell who helped and supported on the day.

Looking forward to next year already!
