"Be the best you can be"
A warm welcome to the Stanmore Primary School website. We hope you will enjoy browsing our pages, meeting our children and staff, all of them determined to ‘be the best that they can be…’

Welcome to wonderful Oak Class!

We are taught by the fabulous, enthusiastic Mrs Heaven who helps to make our learning fun!

In our class, we are a team who look out for each other and work together to support one another.

We are extremely proud to be a member of team Oak and encourage visitors to see us in action in our classroom! Come and see some of the great work we complete daily!

Alternatively, you could visit our class twitter page @year6oakclass to see what we have been up to!

Some helpful information you may need to know about our class:

-PE is on a Monday and a Wednesday. You will need your full PE kit, water bottle (and ear tape/roll on deodorant if required).

-Library session is on a Tuesday - bring your book on this day if it needs changing!

-Homework is set on a Friday and due back in on a Wednesday.

You may be interested to know (before visiting us) that there is an even chance of you seeing a girl or boy when you first walk in our classroom, as there are 10 of each!

100% of our team love our class pets, Flopsy and Shadow (rabbits).

Outside of our class, we are great at sports.
Amazing we look, in our PE top and shorts!
Keeping our classroom clean is one of our first thoughts.
Critical thinking gets us a dojo point.
Learning together, we are all joint.
Astounding we are when it comes to the test!
Sportsman we are when we beat the rest!
Super Oak is the best!

We are really enjoying our new Harry Potter topic.

Last week we were visited by beautiful owls and were sorted into houses by the sorting hat.

I think this wizard might be hoping for Gryffindor!

Here's a poem by Eve inspired by our wizarding activities last week.

We're really enjoying our second topic of the year now. Check out 'It's all Greek to me' by clicking on the link below.

Parent Newsletters and Home Learning Challenges connected to our latest topic will also appear as links at the bottom of this page.
