We had a fantastic time at Butser Ancient farm on Monday, learning about the Stone Age as an introduction to our new topic, ‘Crazy Cavemen’!
The weather was kind to us and we enjoyed exploring the beautiful site, visiting the interesting Stone Age buildings and meeting the animals, including the 4 – horned sheep!
Our activities included becoming archaeologists and digging for Stone Age artefacts with trowels, making willow fences and creating a chalk carving with its own ‘rope’. Some of us coloured our chalk with green, yellow and purple from the plants nearby.
